Procedure for treatment with stem cells from fatty tissue

Procedure for local treatment by injection into the affected tissue

Stem cells provide modern medicine with various therapy and treatment options. In the case of arthrosis and other types of arthropathy, the stem cells are injected directly into the affected joint. The treatment is performed in the outpatient unit at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy.

  1. Preparation
Patients are each given their own room at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy for the duration of treatment. They move into it after registration. After arrival in their own room, they are prepared for the extraction of fat, which can be compared with plastic/aesthetic liposuction treatment.

  2. Fat extraction & stem cell isolation
After preparation, the fatty tissue is extracted in an outpatient treatment room. The patients are given a local anaesthetic that puts them in a light half-sleep. The regenerative stem cells contained in the extracted fat are then isolated using certified systems. During this period of isolation of the stem cells, which takes approximately one hour, patients can rest in their own room in a discrete atmosphere.

  3. Injection of the stem cells
As soon as the regenerative stem cells have been isolated from the fatty tissue, they are injected into the patients’ affected tissue in the treatment room. Patients are given a local anaesthetic.

  4. Completion
The treatment is completed after the stem cells have been injected. Patients can rest in their own room and then set off home or make their way to the hotel, as they wish. A check-up on the next day at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy constitutes completion of treatment.
